Title: Events Account Assistant
Start Date: Monday 4th September 2017
Duration: 4 months (until mid-December)
Salary: £1,220 remuneration per month
Location: Battersea Evolution, Battersea Park, London


This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing, privately owned group of hospitality, catering and event management businesses based in Central London. As an Events Intern, you'll be responsible for supporting the Events Account Management (EAM) team at our venue, Battersea Evolution. You will support organising and delivering a range of client events, including awards ceremonies, sporting dinners, Christmas parties, conferences, exhibitions and launches. Ultimately, you will gain broad experience in events management and should be prepared to enter a fast-paced working environment.

  • Assist the EAMs with all incoming venue enquiries via email and telephone
  • Assist in creating event checklists, reviewing client schedules, menus, furniture requirements and finalising internal event details
  • Assist with event paperwork, to be completed for each event relating to council planning rules
  • Produce tasting notes for event tastings and schedule with relevant parties
  • Chase drinks pre-orders for exclusive events, liaising directly with table hosts and guests
  • Attend meetings and produce meeting notes, where required
  • Manage lost property queries
  • Ad hoc duties, including creating filing systems, stationery orders and water deliveries
  • Due to the nature of the role, the Events Assistant may be required to work some unsociable hours and attend events to support the on-site management teams



  • You will be a highly organised multi- tasker; hardworking and full of energy with a can-do attitude
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise with people at any level
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to punctual delivery
  • Polished and confident telephone manner and good communication and customer service skills are essential
  • A commitment to success in all responsibilities and activities
  • Fluent in English
  • Strong numerical skills
  • Excellent PC skills (Microsoft Office essential)
