MOVING VENUE CATERS AT THE INAUGURAL ESQUIRE TOWNHOUSE SHOWCASE IN LONDON

Between 12th -16th October, leading men’s magazine Esquire hosted its inaugural Esquire Townhouse with Dior, a four-day luxury brand experience. Esquire took over 10-11 Carlton House Terrace in London’s West End to curate a series of talks, interviews, film screenings and masterclasses showcasing the best in style, sport, tech, travel, food and film.
Activities included a screening of the new Tom Hanks movie Inferno with its director Ron Howard and actress Felicity Jones, a Q&A with chef Heston Blumenthal, a men’s style panel featuring male model David Gandy, a supper-club with Francesco Mazzei and a Sky Sports panel celebrating the best moments in sport over the past 25 years.
Catering at the prestigious event was provided by leading event caterers Moving Venue by Smart. At the launch party, Esquire’s guests tucked into a range of bowl food, including a steak tartare with quail egg yolk and sour dough toast served from Moving Feast trolleys. Also on offer was curried John Dory with courgettes and crème fraiche and a BBQ pork belly with gem and spring onion with miso sauce.
Luxury fashion house Dior hosted an exclusive VIP lunch, for which Smart Group's Executive Head Chef David Ridgway created a bespoke menu, inspired by the Gardens of Dior. The menu consisted of a jasmine and orange blossom cured salmon with whipped curds and baby heritage beets, served with nasturtium leaves and honey dressing for the starter. For main course, guests enjoyed a rosemary roast double cutlet of lamb, with sticky glazed neck, miso roast aubergine, pea mousse and baby Chantenay carrots. Guests then made their way to a dedicated Eton Mess dessert bar and dessert stations to enjoy brightly coloured meringues, fresh berries and a selection of liqueurs.
