We’re offering a work placement for Event/Hospitality management students from June 2025. Gain hands-on experience in our Operations department, supporting event execution and ensuring seamless experiences. Work alongside passionate professionals and collaborate with our event planning team, chefs, and external stakeholders.

This is an exciting placement opportunity to join Moving Venue on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will gain brilliant hands-on knowledge and experience, working as a key member of the operations team.

This is an exciting role and an amazing opportunity to join Moving Venue (on a year placement), a privately owned group of hospitality, catering and event management businesses based in South East London.
Moving Venue has a prestigious history of over 40 years as one of the leading event caterers in the capital, operating events across some of the most Unique Venues of London ranging from Museums, Palaces and Galleries to blank canvases and warehouse spaces.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
As the ‘Event Operations Placement,’ you will be friendly and engaging, with an outgoing personality, enduring enthusiasm, and a can-do attitude. You should be an excellent team player, able to communicate at all levels, and committed to sharing your knowledge and skills.
A passion for organisation, providing outstanding service to clients, and the ability to cope with the pressure of a fast-paced role while maintaining professionalism at all times are essential.
We are offering a work placement for Event / Hospitality management students who are keen to gain experience within our Operations’ department. A truly unique opportunity to work side by side with passionate and creative events professionals who will provide an insight into the wonderful world of events. We are looking for a real team player, someone who is engaging and keen to delight our guests in equal measure. You will play a crucial role in operating and supporting the operations’ team in the execution of events and projects, ensuring that every detail is meticulously coordinated to deliver seamless experiences for our clients and attendees. You will work closely with our event planning team, chefs and external stakeholders to assist in all operational aspects of our events.

The placement opportunity will start in June 2025 and will be based in our offices in Deptford, London, SE8 5HY, students may be required to work at other venues in London and should be available to work some evenings and occasional weekends.
